My Specialty White Bread Recipe
1 Cup Warm Water (Add more if needed to form the dough)
1/4 Cup White Sugar
1 Packet Of Yeast (Any Store Brand Is Fine)
3/4 Tsp Salt (You can also add seasonings for a special twist - I sometimes use Lowrey's Season Salt)
1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
3 1/2 Cups Of Flour (All Purpose Flour Is Fine - But Not Self Rising
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Combine these ingredients into a soft dough and knead for about 5 minutes in a very warm room.
Placed in a clean covered bowl and put the dough in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.
After 1 hour put the dough in a loaf pan if you desire a loaf of bread - or shape into small rolls and put the rolls into a pan. (Spray the pan with cooking spray for easy removal after baking).....
Let your bread loaf or pans of small rolls rise for 30 minutes covered in a warm place.
After the 2nd rise - bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes. Rolls only need about 30 - 40 minutes.
** Note*** Some people use variations like adding 1 cup of milk instead of 1 cup of water or melted butter instead of vegetable oil or add a egg to make the original dough...These all are good substitutions but I will advise stick to the original recipe until you get experience... Then try some of these variations.
Enjoy your soft homemade bread loaves or pans of homemade rolls. They come in handy sometimess......
Peace and blessings
